Academic Coaching Services.

  • My Philosophy

My philosophy is simple; I believe that all people deserve to be treated with respect in order to realize their true potential. Over my 11+ years of experience as an academic coach specializing in learning challenges, I have found that too many students are left behind because of bad school policies or learning challenges whether diagnosed or undiagnosed. I believe in skill building, perspective change, belief, nonjudgement, and patience. By having a coach, a proponent, and a believer in me, I hope to inspire belief in themselves. I am available in person in the Denver Metro area, or online for any location. To inquiries or to set up an appointment, please visit my Contact Me page.

  • Subjects

I teach all subjects from grade 8 through high school, including but not limited to Math (Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, etc.) Science (General, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, etc.), English (Composition, Creative Writing, Literature, etc.), and History (American, European, World, etc.).

  • Advocacy

As an academic coach and mentor, I have over a decade’s experience advocating for my students during 504 or IEP meetings. Each student is unique, with different strengths and weaknesses. Thus, I believe that gaining the proper accommodations can be the difference between success and failure. I am well versed representing students either alone or in tandem with parents, therapists, or psychologists.

  • College Prep

I take great pride in the fact that over the last 11 years, I have maintained a 100% graduation rate as well as a 100% college acceptance rate for my students that chose to continue their education. Part of the reason for my success is that I provide full college preparation services: college search and refining a list, personal essay help that includes editing and critique, aid finding letters of recommendation, and a firm understanding of both the College App and FAFSA forms.

  • ACT/SAT Prep

Though the efficacy of the SAT and ACT can oscillate wildly, a good score can still be the difference between acceptance and rejection. I offer full test preparation in a one-on-one environment, efficiently providing my students strategies, skills, and knowledge to improve their scores dramatically. Over the last decade+, my students have averaged an increased score in the ACT by 5 points and in the SAT by 200.

  • Hand Crafted Curiculum

Often, students’ thirst for knowledge does not end at the completion of the school year. I have created multiple classes in literature, creative writing, compositional writing, Algebra I and II, and Geometry, all taught in a one-on-one or small group setting, both in person and online.
